Hope you are all enjoying your summer so far! The weather here has been pretty hot and dry so be sure that when you’re outside getting your vitamin D, you’re also hydrating adequately. There are a few special summer events that we’d like to announce.

Do you or someone you know suffer from asthma, sinus allergies or frequent colds that settle in the lungs? For the 3rd summer, we will be offering our exclusive San Fu moxibustion treatment which involves the application of a carefully crafted blend of Chinese herbs onto specific acupuncture points. The dates are during the summer months and are calculated according to Chinese astrology. It’s best to come around noon where Yang energy is at its peak. Ideally treatment should be done on all three dates. Cost per treatment is $45 and is by appointment only. Please DM us if you're interested. . . . . . . . . . . #lotuscenter #littlelotuspediatrics #moxibustion #coldmoxibustion #sanfu #chinesemedicine #classicalchinesemedicine #traditionalchinesemedicine #chineseherbalmedicine #chineseherbs #herbs #herbalmedicine #yangenergy #chineseastrology #asthma #allergies #lungs #respiratoryhealth #bronchitis #summer #summerhealth #losangeles #losangelesacupuncture #acupuncture #highlandpark #hermon #90042

Anne Albrecht showing attendees reference books for local plants

Last weekend our own resident local plant fairy, Anne Albrecht, L.Ac., gave a great presentation at Fig Earth Supply on how to identify toxic, edible and medicinal plants that you may encounter walking through your neighborhood or hiking in Griffith Park. All of the participants learned very useful information and some requested a nature walk for more practical application. So we will be offering our first nature walk at Griffith Park (exact location TBD) on Sunday, July 9 at 8 am, before it gets too hot. It will likely take about 90 minutes so come with a water bottle, hat, pencil and paper! Cost is $5 per person but kids are free. Call or e-mail to sign up.

Have a great summer!
